![]() Just here in redit, but lot of forum too, lot of people has same situation in the last few days So it not a Uniq problem After freeze/hang during update process to 4981 console is not boot anymore. That must be a general problem. No Warranty And repair cost is almost a new console price That no way for a failed update brick the device for this way For Some user Live Agent give a free repair some not Why? If that is the case your console will need to be repaired to get back up and running. The error code you are seeing is most likely related to the hardware failing so this step might not resolve the issue. If you are seeing an error code troubleshooting screen where the steps you're seeing involve using an OSU file, the only option to try and fix the console is the "Reset this Xbox" option in that menu. OSU files are not compatible with users taking Preview updates. Does the dev part of the OS version mean the system is enrolled in the insider program? And if I am, is there a way for me to un-enroll? It's working but wont install games as the hard drive acts up.Įdit: I'm not the original owner. I popped the damaged hard drive back in, it is showing 1.4981 user OS version within the OS. Under troubleshoot with new hard drive installed, my OS Version is: _release_xbox_dev_2010.201007-0000 On the xbox, I am getting Error E106 00000009 C0000102 if I try to do "Reset This Xbox", as well as Error E101 00000504 8B050041 if I try do to "Offline System Update".

![]() ![]() Then for later games I want to add, I can just send them over Ethernet to OPL. I used HDL Dump GUI to backup the ISOs from my IDE drive, and install them all to the new SATA drive with USB adaptors. You can still use winhiip to transfer/install the game isos to a HDD (connected to your PC), but I found another program that can do this as well as send over Ethernet. You can either connect the PS2 hdd to a PC/laptop and transfer the ISO’s directly, or over LAN if your HDD adaptor had an Ethernet port. The method of transferring the game is exactly the same as it was for the IDE drive. I was luckily able to save all my ISOs from the old failing IDE drive using a USB to IDE adapter. ![]() Great, Now we have a formatted SATA drive and a partition for OPL ready for games. You can select any size, but for this test drive I selected 2Gb.
